I spoke to Frontier's corporate office the other day with a very nice and compassionate woman. She thanked me for being as understanding as I was and polite with her.

She bumped my $100 voucher to a $200 voucher with no expiration date. It's not $787 like I hoped but I'll take it.

I, too, was trying to fly from Vegas to Cleveland on flight 1116 on Dec 18th at 9:55pm. Delay after delay until the last one was at 4:15am then the texts stopped.

No one knew any answers. I then went online and read that the flight was actually cancelled. They couldn't fly me out until Friday! I was in Arizona for my father's funeral and had no vacation time left at work so that was not going to work.

I was able to buy a ticket through American for Dec 19th at 8pm and arrive in Cleve at 11am on the 20th. Mind you, I was at the Vegas airport since 8pm on the 18th and landed in Cleve at 11am on the 20th and I was traveling alone. I was up for 78 hrs! My round-trip ticket originally was $196 and it ended up costing me $787 just to get home, lost wages and extra airport parking.

They keep saying it was because of the weather in Denver but no other airlines were having any issues. The pilots were on strike. I don't know why everything was hush-hush. Just tell us the truth and accommodate us.

Nothing was offered like food vouchers or hotel. Frontier just offered me a $100 voucher in good faith...unacceptable!

Reason of review: Poor customer service.

Monetary Loss: $78741.

Preferred solution: Full refund.

Frontier Airlines Pros: Affordability, Low fares.

Frontier Airlines Cons: Poor customer service when issues arrive lack of accountability.

No airline will compensate for a weather delay.no hotels.Unless you purchase a ticket with an airline who has partners,if your flight is cancelled you can wait for the next flight or opt for a refund to find your own way.Airlines have to report the reasons for any delays over 10 min or any cancellations to the dot. They cant lie about the reason. It could be that there was bad weather around your destination.Air traffic control has to route planes around the bad weather. This means less airspace for aircraft to travel. After a severe wearther event it can take hours if not days to get caught up.Air traffic control may ask airlines to cancel a % of flights to get caught up.Usally it is the airline with the most flights. It is common to have only one airline have the cancelled flights out of certain aiports, because said airline has the highest % of flight in or out.
